| Last week (flash backs) | Chimera cave and battleClimbing as carefully as they can up the stairs in the icy wind, they can hear nothing coming from the cave. There are stacks of bones inside and a nest. This is probably the Chimera’s nest. They put some poison in the cheese in the bag of holding. There are orc remains and a dwarf and a halfling with some leather armour. Londer finds:Music boxObsidian daggerGold plated helm with a tiny golden anvilPotion of greater healingPotion of hill giant strength650 gold (~110 each to be added to inventory)Londer plays the music box and immediately drinks the giant strength potion. Those outside the cave suddenly notice wings above them.They are on the side of the cliff, it’s very windy. Lia pulls Leshanna up onto the Gryphon. Leshanna sends a message through the cave to Miss Moss to warn her. She begins to drag Londer who gathers the cheese into his pocket. They both emerge from the cave. A fight, Lia, Leshanna and the Gryphon are hit with a massive fireball. Gunther tries to reason with the beast. Londer jumps onto the Chimera’s back and puts poison cheese in the lion’s mouth. It looks a bit sick. Miss Moss attacks and attacks well. Leshanna rains fire upon the Chimera and quietly moves away from the Gryphon. Thoradin heals Lia and Leshanna and blesses Londer.Lia shoots again and misses. PolymorphThe Chimera tries to get Londer off its back. Londer holds on. Gunther turns the Chimera into a snail, causing two things to happen. The first thing to happen is that the snail falls to the misty terrain below. The second thing to fall is Londer. He falls through the canopy of trees. He falls into every branch going down. He lands on a snail. In an odd series of events, the Chimera is dead and they revive Londer. They have a rest in the cave. The next dayIn the morning they continue to climb the mountain, sneakily. They see two bridges, one completely ruined. There is another rope bridge that is intact. There are pathways leading up to each side. Lia flies up and sees a village. There’s not a lot of movement, occasionally someone moves between the huts. The figures are large and have horns. There are some large doors. There are small figures, maybe children. Lia has vague notions of a type of people called Yakfolk who have been sighted up north. They have some discussions. Thoradin’s god warns of woe if Londer dresses up as Florida Jake and goes to talk to them. Gunther dashes off on the chooky bird and Miss Moss takes off after. Lia takes off after them on the gryphon. Florida Jake follows behind on Osric, while Thoradin follows on Shep and Leshanna follows on foot, walking slowly and looks annoyed. |
