| Last week (flash backs) | They begin their journey, it is a difficult one. Lia does a number of checks and sees no signs of humanoids. Eventually they can see the peaks of the mountains. The journey takes several days. On the way they discuss their approach, knowing that it may be dangerous as the Fire Giants appear to have been gathering slaves. They agree on some sort of reconnaissance The Fire Giants are trying to reactivate the Forge to reinvigorate the Vonnendad, previously used to fight the dragons Lia has awareness of the Drow from Gauntelgrym going to this place. The pieces of Adamantine are pieces of the Colossus. This seems to be related to the Fire Giants wanting to climb the ladder to be equal to the Cloud giants. Lia’s sister had been given to the house Xolarrin. Lia’s sister was given to Duke Zalto, ruler of the Fire Giants in an alliance. There have been attempts to steal a Titan fire elemental to take it back to the forge. The forge has been built into a Mountain, mount hamahast(?). Lia does a stealthy gryphon flight on Keannareeves. She sees an immense door carved into the side of the mountain. To the eastern side of the door is a carved staircase around the edge with thousands of steps. She could see a shelf with what looked like huts in the distance, surrounded by clouds. They didn’t appear to be giant sized. She saw no creatures or people but also didn’t have a great view because of the canopy of trees and clouds up the top. They decide to set up camp and do some more surveillance of the door. Londer does some ineffective hunting, Thoradin is looking for an observation spot. They have found a path through the trees that leads to the stair case. Miss Moss creeps up to see the doors. There are geometric designs. She returns to the camp and they take turns watching. It is eerily quiet. The staircase is very narrow, not more than 15 feet wide. Miss Moss does a bird call to Leshanna who comes over. Clouds are obscuring so she can’t see very high. Leshanna heads back, Gunther makes Rillix invisible and they send him up the hill. They hide near the staircase. Rillix moves out flies down in terror, there are only disrupted clouds, something much larger seemed to move. Leshanna sees memories from Rillix of a flying creature, gnashing of teeth and horns. Images of a goat. Leshanna searches her memory and can only imagine a Chimera, with 3 heads – potentially from some sort of magical mistake. A head of a dragon, a goat and lion with the body of a goat. Famously cruel, tied with the demagorgon. Rumour is they were created when the demogorgan was summoned. Three heads and each head is independent. Thoradin is staring at the door. It is clearly magic. Leshanna sets an alarm for a mental ping on the stairs and they camp for the night. Miss Moss continues surveillance on the door. The night is uneventful. Londer caught a half a dozen squirrels. They do a lot of waiting. They begin to sneak up the stairs. They climb for ages, hundreds of feet. It’s an arduous climb, steep and slow. At about 600 feet, they see a cave in the side of the mountain. They can’t see anything inside, it’s just a dark cave. The clouds obscure the ground below. It’s very windy. |

You must find King Hecaton’s conch to transport you there and root out the evil How can we find people or items to restore the ordering, including (and especially the conch)? You must prove your worth by finding some treasure. Barbarian kind built altars to Rutgar, their king atop these relics and surrounded the area with burial mounds. Go there and find the lost relics and bring them here to the All-Father as tributes. There are many paths. The more relics you bring, the more paths will be open to you. What more can you tell us about the missing King and the evil in the court of Hecaton? The evil in the court is from multiple sources, the King was undermined by his daughters Miran and Nimh, his daughters covet the throne. Where can we find 5 magical weapons that will help us in our battle? Giants do not entertain small-folk weapons. There is one weapon – the coral nora sceptre, wielded by Cerisa, the one who sits on the Storm giant throne. The daughter of King Hecaton. It is amongst the most powerful weapons known to giant-kind. |
