After they have their strategy sorted. They hurtle through time and space through the extra planar space in the teleportation and land on the ledge they had seen through the portal, arriving on the stone floor. It is shadowy.

The gantries surround and there is a giant elevator shaft. They look around, things look similar, a few more torches perhaps.

The vonnedod head is now attached. It looks complete. It faces away toward the south and the can see the gems that burn brightly. It is pulsating with magical energy. There are vein-like things that look like runes.

Leshanna activates fart form, stealth style (SBD)
Everyone else becomes as stealthy as possible.
Thoradin goes to look over the edge.

Directly ahead on two of the corners are fire giants, on their level.  The room has pillars from floor to ceiling.

In the room where previously they found the duke, there are now a workforce of underdark dwarves, Duergars, clearly a labour force. They are not slaves. There are also several hobgoblins who appear to be overseers. They are wearing aprons and tools and are working in and around the furnace.

A huge ogre emerges from behind a pillar.

Lia notices some of the dwarves speaking heatedly. Nebiolo has requested modifications and they will need extra resources.

Thoradin and Lia rejoin the group.

Leshanna and Lia head off towards the buckets, Lia jumps in and Leshanna moves in gaseous form, potentially wafting out of the buckets.

As Lia gets into the tunnel it’s very dark, she knows there is a fire giant below, they move through the tunnels, and begins to enter into a room that is well lit. Lia jumps to the ceiling before entering and stays safe in the dark. Leshanna catches up and is not impressed by the suggestion of summoning a beast. She communicates this by becoming as solid as possible.

They can hear the sounds of the grinding wheel turning.

After some discussion and Lia putting on a fairly offensive drow disguise, Lia decides to just take a look out.  Across the room, amongst all the other she sees Gwyn. Though faded, she is still the wood elf she remembers – she is a little drawn but still vibrant. She wears a patchwork of something that may have been a garment from the forest.

There are humans and dwarves, and they notice drow also pushing the wheel. Leshanna recognises one as Neznaar’s brother – they were allies of the fire giants last time we saw them. There are two ogres in the room on either side, after a moment they see a fire giant come into the room to check before disappearing.

Leshanna can hear something coming from the eastern wall, like an animal.

Lia heads back towards the others and relays what has happened. They head back together, a little ungracefully but they are safe.

Leshanna passes on a message to Gwyn, including a secret in-joke about rainbow trout that only Lia would know about.

Thoradin blesses Leshanna and Lia gives her inspiration.

They consider options, Leshanna prepares to waft down and dimension door her and Gwyn out.
