The others are fighting them. The chief has just attacked the golden lion. | Last week (flash backs) | Miss Moss sees Gunther take off and begins to sing, on Patricia and rushes after him. Gunther finds the gate locked. After a time he hears a commotion behind the wall. There are half a dozen or more yak folk at the gate. There is a large, important looking member of the tribe. He shouts out and appears to welcome them. Miss Moss and Gunther go around via the other bridge to enter the village. They are standing in an open space. In the centre is a large hut with a fire smouldering out the front. The clouds are moving in a gale. The chief greets them. Gunther and the chief bow, the bowing continues for some time.They stable their mounts, and are provided with a hut. Miss Moss is taken on a tour. There is a water wheel, on the other side it leads into the side of the mountain. She catches glimpses of some cages along the tour, they seem to be empty. Meanwhile, back at the hut, Thoradin does a little investigating to see what he can see. He sees a pen that is empty, apart from the mounts. Inside are some cages. He catches a glint of blue fabric. In the hut, Londer suggests they should sneak into the mountain tonight. The feast arrives. The sun goes down. The chief introduces himself and his wives. Thoradin doesn’t make a show of it, but he doesn’t eat the food, drink the wine or smoke anything offered. Gunther is eating and drinking and smoking everything. He’s been preparing a performance. Miss Moss and Gunther, the only two who have been eating falls asleep (Gunther, mid OneManBand performance) Florida Jake reaches across the table and puts his axeblade to the chief’s throat. Leshanna webs the yak people and Lia summons a rhino. The rhino attacks and does damage. More fighting ensues. Lia takes some big damage. Florida Jake sweeps to attack. Leshanna manages to counterspell some yak attacks. Florida Jake kills one of the chief’s wives. Florida Jake gazes at him coldly. Thoradin throws out a lion from the statue. The great golden lion roars and takes a leap at the chief, going for the throat. The chief lights the web on fire and burns his remaining wife. |
