Flashbacks One of the huts is on fire. Lia is on another. The elevator continues to rise.
The duke bellows, “Where’s my daughter?” The duke, duchess and hellhounds quickly make their way off the platform, walking towards Thoradin and Leshanna.

Londer yells, “Your daughter is safe!”

Gunther whispers, “You’ll be safe if you stay here” and marches out playing the bagpipes.

Thoradin and Leshanna move away towards the portcullis as the fire giants move towards them.

The fire giant takes up his mace; inside, there is a figure trapped, dwarf. The giant calls out, “Silence”.Gunther rips the bagpipe aside and screams, “Halt!”

Lia gives a secret handshake to her spirit rhino, and it gets ready to run. The lion is ready off to the side of the gap.

The giant says “Call your beasts down – if it’s fighting you want, it’s fighting you shall have”.Londer tries to calm the situation down.

Cindy looks out at Gunther and gestures to him. He spins and heads back towards her in an imperial march, playing the bagpipes again. “You must do what we said right now – we can get everything we want and get you out of here. Yell out, ‘I am safe, father; I need the conch to complete my mission’!”

Cindy looks scared but steels herself and attempts a performance. She calls out in her bravest voice, which sadly still falters. “Daddy! You have to give the men and women your conch – I’m safe, but they will do me great harm if you don’t do what they say.”The duke turns to the duchess, and they whisper to each other. “Very well, we do not want her to come to harm. We will give you the conk if you are true to your word. First, you must answer, why do you want the conk?” Gunther explains that they are going to gift the conch to a fairy.

Cindy says “Pussycat, this is a stupid plan”

They argue for a little while. The plan is that she will go with them on the mission to the fairy. Gunther and Thoradin continue to convince Cindy. “This could be witchcraft!”Gunther warns that great trouble will occur if they do not deliver the conch to the fairies, and great riches will come.

The duke and duchess and hellhounds begin to move towards Londer.“Don’t come any closer! I’m going to shut this door!”They ignore him. Londer slams the door and runs away, and the duke simply flings it open like it is a curtain. It stays locked in place above.

Gunther calls out, “HALT!”The duke towers above him. “Halt or what?”

“Or we cannot guarantee the safety of your daughter; we are here to help you.”The duke brushes Gunther aside. Cindy is cowering. The duke grabs her by the scruff of the neck, and Thoradin casts banishment on her – but she resists.

Miss Moss is still disguised as a drow and is dressed in grey, hiding against the wall. Lia shoots off a heap of arrows that land stylishly around his feet without hitting.“Easy there giant, we’re not to be trifled with!” and glares at him menacingly.

He spins around and looks up at the roof, acknowledging the intentional miss.

Helen, the rhino, paws at the ground and grunts and snorts and runs a ring around them as if she is going to ram them. Keannareeves approaches at top speed towards them.

The Hellhound takes a few steps towards Thoradin and breathes fire out of his mouth towards him. Thoradin takes some damage.“You’ve upset Serador”, says the Duke. “Fuck Serador.” Says Thoradin. Miss Moss jumps down and stealthily slices at the rope tied to the giant, and the conch falls – she’s chosen the right moment to get it. She catches it.

The duke feels something and touches his side. He sees Miss Moss near his knee and she looks up at him and says “Your dukedom has been behaving badly, I see, duke.” in her best, bossiest drow voice. The duke looks completely perplexed.

The lion runs in from the other room.

They fight on, the giant puts down his mace, and the creature inside begs to be brought along.

Suddenly, Lia sees figures around the room. There are drow with bows drawn all over the walls.

They see Leshanna’s spider staff, and one says,  “That’s not yours…”
