Last week (flash backs)The battle continues. They’ve been fighting yak-folk and released a lot of slaves, of all different races. Halflings, humans, a moon elf and others. Leshanna meditates in the sky in her rope trick. Lia has saved one woman with her gryphon. Some of the slaves are armed by Londer and then are quickly killed. Some of the slaves have climbed up to hide with Leshanna in the rope trick bag, she’s aware and a little grossed out, but still meditating.
Amongst the fighting, some highlights include: a yak man climbing onto the roof of one of the shacks, Gunther serenading the enemies and Miss Moss. The giant spirit creature unleashes radiant energy onto a yak man.  Shep impales and flings a yak-folk, sending him in the direction of another. The woman rushes away. In a doorway they can see a man (the one that Lia snatched the slave away from) rushing from the other side of the village. Leshanna opens her eyes, sees the rabble all around and climbs down from the Rope Trick and joins the battle.
Miss Moss takes off after the yak man climbing on the roof and tries to cut his head off. She does some good damage but in return is critically hit and brought into a death state.  Gunther with his fucking excellent acrobat skills does a back flip to go and save her. On the way, he’s hit by a yak-man but manages to climb onto the roof. He sees the other yak man standing over the now comatose Miss Moss. Gunther saves the day and Miss Moss, yodelling “Welcome Back”.
One of the yak men launches himself at Thoradin on Shep and is promptly slammed on his back and is absolutely stunned.
Footsteps can be heard from the far end of the area. Londer twice swings and hits one of the yak men, giving him the old alley-oop death. The look on the face of one of the remaining yak man is changing from battle-anger to fear. Thoradin casts Sacred Flame. Leshanna attacks the one standing over Miss Moss.
The halfling rushes in and attacks one of the yak men, doing a tiny amount of damage. The yak man swings and tries to bat him away but misses. Another slave rushes in and does a tiny bit of damage.
Miss Moss is lying down, she’s previously called Patricia and she now sees her and summons her. Miss Moss disengages, then rolls down the thatched roof and nods at Patricia who comes over and Miss Moss does a roll flip onto her back. She’s still not feeling well but she’s comforted by the beautiful relationship between a soldier and her horse.
The yak-man attacks Gunther with his great sword and brings him also to death. Gunther manages to survive. Londer attacks the other yak man. Thoradin hears Gunther make a strange cat sound and turns to him. He stands up on Shep with his cloak he spins around and teleports, disappearing in a gust of dust and reappears nearby Gunther. Leshanna fires frost and critically hits, revenge killing the yak man who had been attacking Miss Moss and Gunther.
The halfling strikes the final yak-man and kills him. He’s shocked and drops to his knees.
A yak man runs in through the door and sees his entire village laid waste. He drops his sword and says “Moo.” and puts his hands up in surrender.
Thoradin revives Gunther and dispenses a shimmer of warmth to the whole party, reviving 20 hit points each. Gunther kisses him on the lips in gratitude. Thoradin gruffly asks to be put down.
From the rope trick space, a whole lot of slaves climb down and run over.
They can hear more slaves calling out from all around. Thoradin pulls his knife and goes to jimmy the doors. They find bodies of slaves and a live rock gnome in the hut near their mounts.
In the Mill they see two shield dwarves who have been tied to the wooden shelves in there. They also find a moon elf named Vara. There are many bodies of those who didn’t make it.
An elderly yak-folk remains tied up.
