They are at the entrance to the Eye of the Allfather.
The barbarians turn around and the distance is vast, but the massive frost giant and 5 adventurers have clearly caused some alarm. They reach for their weapons. Londer motions everyone to stop and wanders towards them, hands in the air making noises.
Londer can hear them talking to each other in a language he doesn’t recognise. Their armour and clothes are furs and bits of bones.
“We’re not here to fight! We look for the All Father. Oracle.”
The barbarians actually speak fairly good common. Bewildered, the barbarians run away, leaving their campfire in the entrance.
Thoradin walk up behind Londer, slaps him on the back and said, “Well, that went well.”
The others moved up and Miss Moss discusses with Harshnag how it feels to be in a place made for giants. He agrees its pretty good but suggests they get back to the task at hand.
Miss Moss calls out down the hall and says “Hello? We come in peace..” Her voice echoes around.
Harshnag leads the way, the others follow behind.
They hear an inhuman screech, sounding like an animal somewhere across the hall. The sound of moving stones is heard and they notice falling stones from above. The blocks are the same width as the path they are on and there are two of them and they are falling.
Everyone has a moment to think and all of them dash forward, turning to realise that only Harshnag has remained where he was, between the two rocks. Ahead, they hear a warcry scream. In the darkness, people are charging.
Miss Moss yells “Stop! Peace!” She also has a torch that she lights.
Gunther makes Londer, Thoradin and Miss Moss invisible. He gives Leshanna inspiration.
The creatures dash toward them, slowly as they’re about 450 feet away.
Miss Moss throws her rope up and opposite-abseils up the wall. Just. It’s very graceless, almost falling as she clambers up but she’s still invisible.
Thoradin moves over and prepares himself, he throws some ball bearings very far, but they’re on a bit of a hill so they are really just rolling back towards them.
Leshanna climbs up on the ledge using Miss Moss’ rope and Londer climbs after.
Harshnag tries to climb over the rock but doesn’t – he falls and hurts his toe.
The white wyrmling flaps its wings overhead.
Gunther joins them on the ledge.
Miss Moss jumps down and throws her torch away.
Thoradin pulls out his grappling hook and climbs up on another ledge.
Londer goes inside one of the sconces and some ethereal flames come out.
Harshnag tries again to climb up and curses in giant.
Gunther dashes along the ledge.
Behind them, they hear something from the corridor – footsteps.
Thoradin readies himself for an attack, Leshanna dashes along the ledge and Londer also readies himself with his javelin.
Harshnagg finally climbs out over the stone, he lets out a roar and jumps down into the centre of the corridor.
The shaman starts chanting – a radius of light begins to radiate from her and the creatures around her stand a little taller.
Thoradin casts Sacred Flame
Miss Moss takes out her Oathbow and fires at one, hitting slightly.
Thoradin takes out his ram ring. A giant spectral ram comes out, lighting up the whole hallway and the ram shoots through the air, missing him by a long way.
The barbarians are unimpressed by the magic.
Leshanna turns to the berserker nearby and charms him, he becomes her friendly acquaintance and stands blinking, looking confused and wondering why everyone can’t get along. She moves along, her new acquaintance following behind.
