Last week (flash backs)
Gunther and Lia go, invisibly, down the chains towards the room with the Goblins. It’s a high vaulted ceiling room with chandeliers, dim red lights. They heard 30 the goblins, moving around and working, chattering to each other. One of them says “you’re making her angry!” They sneak in and hide on the ceiling. It’s chaotic.
They continue and open the stone door. Beyond is a well-lit room with a table, marble shelves and an enormous iron Golem.
Attached to the forehead of the Golem is an ingot of the Skold, an iron ore ingot – about a foot long. It is a magical, powerful item. They remove it.
The corridor is long with a stone door along it. They come to a T shaped hallway. The door is unlocked. Inside is the bed chamber of the duke and duchess. It is an enormous bed made from criss crossing iron swords Dangling above the bed are large chains and manacles, the purpose of which is only known to the duke and duchess. Behind the bed is a 15 foot shield made from black dragon scales. There is an unlit chandelier above a table. There are lots of valuable items, a full length mirror. There is a chest, 9 feet long. It is locked with a combination lock.
Gunther uses his thieves tools to try to undo the lock. It does not work. They got a lot of loot. Faintly, Gunther hears the sound of a girl crying. They move towards the door. There is a giant sobbing. There are two hobgoblin hand servants standing indifferently nearby.
Gunther creeps up to her and whispers “Your dreams have come true. We have come to break you out”. She sits up and dismisses the hobgoblins.
“It’s me, your favourite toy. Pick me up.”
She grabs her giant pink club and swings it around into the toys.
Gunther whispers “It’s me, Pookie! Pick me up”
She picks up a truck. A mouth appears on the toy truck.
“Its me, Pookie, I’m back. IT’s time for us to go on the adventure you’ve always wanted to go on.”
She stands up and looks around and gives the toy a kiss on the mouth.
“We have one task that we must complete, you must find the conch, then we can go on all the adventures to all the places you always wanted to go.”
LIa produces the cursed ring.
“We have a special ring that I will make come from nowhere and you will put it on and you will see, you are immediately invisible.”
Gunther rolls out the ring and she puts it on. She doesn’t disappear.
She is so excited to be invisible, she starts dancing. This is amazing. “You’ve shown yourself to be true. What are you talking about, cunt?”
They agree to go to the chest with the truck with the mouth attached.
She tries twice to thud the chest lock open.
Some goblins start to move towards them. They look in through the door of the bedroom and then run away. She believes herself to be invisible and gives herself a little cheer.
She doesn’t break the lock. She sits down on the floor and tries to scheme.
Gunther turns her invisible. Gunther gets inspiration for the mouth on the truck.
