==================

The Cambions are the offspring of humans and fiends. They are carrying spears, heavily armoured. They look very strong. They are formidable foes. They are humanoid size. The heavy wings of the demons are completely silent as they are in the sphere of silence.

Miss Moss rushes up to the door. She calls out to Londer and Thoradin – what’s happening? Londer and Thoradin explain.

She knocks on the door “Help, Help!” she calls out, “My baby is hurt!” There is no flicker of recognition from the infernals in response. One raises his hand and flames begin to burn in his palm. He starts shooting flames at Miss Moss. It shoots off into the wall and a little bit of flame falls down. Using the other hand he shoots out another flame towards her. Again it misses – it catches onto some grass and smoulders.

The other one takes aim at Londer and misses – flames firing wildly around. The second one connects. Londer has a crazy look in his eye – he bellows and runs straight for the carriage and dives headfirst into the carriage, aiming for the secret trap door. As he goes through, his bellow is cut by the silence. As he dives into the carriage he discovers that it is very small. Gunther and Leshanna turn to notice Londer’s head through the trap door. He hasn’t quite stuck the landing… “Demons, It’s demons!” he calls. He still can’t be heard though, so they can just see him mouthing the words.

Lia takes a shot at one of the demons and misses.

Thoradin casts sacred flame on one of them, he takes a big hit with some flames flying up through his armour.  In response the demon fires back. He hits twice.  The other one fires flames at Miss Moss. She takes a big hit.

Miss Moss pulls out the bow and arrow and has a shot. She hits. As the arrow hits she notices that the demon is resistant to the hit. She fires and hits again. She can hear some strange language, unfamiliar.

Londer at the top of the stairs (prone) moves up and climbs on top of the stage coach, swings the Great Khan and hits. Swinging again he misses. A third swing and hit.

Leshanna, still invisible, moves to the top of the stage coach and looks around. She decides to stay invisible for now.

Lia (on the other hand) decides to cause a spectacle. She pulls a rope from her bag, lights it on fire and swings it around like a lasso, grinning and says “Come and get it!” while wolf-whistling. Somewhere, something else happens.

Gunther keeps looking around, aware they had a mission that they haven’t completed. There are items that he cannot quite reach behind the statues.  There is loot some distance away.

 The battle continues.

Thoradin kneels down, slowly rises up with a bluish-greenish angelic glow flittering around him.  Spirit guardians from the Fae world rise around him, slowing the demons and damaging the demons with radiant damage. They scream out curses and glow with pain.

Miss Moss, being cool says “Ah fuck this” and expertly places an apparently casual kick (after analysing the structure) – the wall just splinters, cracks and the entire panel disappears, giving an entire line of sight to the demons.  The noise has been quite impressive.

The demons look over, their eyes flash and they seem to grin.  One demon fires flames at Miss Moss, hitting twice and doing some big damage. The second Cambion lines up Londer, missing twice with the shots flying into the barn.

Londer rallies Miss Moss and swings the Great Khan at the demon. He hits. He swings again and misses.

Leshanna puts one of the demons to sleep.

Lia looks around and can see that the demons are fairly unimpressed by her. She can see some townsfolk looking up at the ruckus. They look afraid. They dash off. The demons are clearly visible through the hole where the wall used to be. Lia drops the smouldering piece of rope and takes aim at the demon that is still awake. She misses.

Gunther investigates the chest and finds three items. A pouch of beans, an amulet with a red jewel and a rod. All are very magical and precious. He collects them and puts everything except the rod into his satchel.  He holds onto the rod. Looking at the altar he can tell that something has been sacrificed at some point, not too long ago. Looking around, he notices that one lantern does not look like the others.

Thoradin heals Miss Moss and himself and moves ever so carefully away from the sleeping demon to make sure that his Fae don’t wake it. He casts a guiding bolt and the demon lights up with holy light, looking very annoyed. Holy steam comes off his red skin.

Back downstairs, Gunther is startled to see a panel slide away. Walking through the door is an old, aristocratic woman carrying a staff with magical energy swirling around the tip.  Gunther, still invisible, says nothing and looks with interest. A corridor is revealed behind her, leading into the darkness.

Miss Moss ties the sleeping demon into a very uncomfortable position, with his palms stuck together. Lots of rope is everywhere, it’s a very awkward position. Elbows are tied around them. Everything is definitely tied in together, including the wings.

The Faes attack the demon again. The demon moves up high and fires at Thoradin and misses on both counts.

Miss Moss calls out to Gunther to come upstairs.

Londer moves up towards the demon up above and throws two javelins, missing twice.

Leshanna moves up with Londer, casts Ray of Frost.

Downstairs, the old lady starts moving around the room suspiciously, smelling.  She casts “Detect Magic” and her face spins towards Gunther. She moves up to the staircase in a fighting position.

Outside, some people are starting to congregate outside the driveway. Lia starts moving over to them, she can see some townsfolk, a couple of guards and some cream robed figures – they look official, uniformed. She puts away her weapons and smooths down her hair.  They rush over to her, “What on earth… What’s going on here?” They look at the Cambion and they ready their arms in confusion.

Lia tries to calm them down a bit, it might be an idea to back up.

They are horrified, “This is the Magistar’s house, reputable folk. Are these Cambions?”  They start to rush towards the barn with weapons raised.

Meanwhile the old woman downstairs faces Gunther, the hog tied demon begins to wake.
